| Hooray! As of yesterday I am 20 weeks pregnant, officially halfway through. We have our ultrasound next Thursday. We are not going to find out if this little bean is a boy or girl. (But we both are kinda thinking it's a little girl bean) It was the greatest surprise ever when Allen Michael was born and we found out he was a little guy, even though it was such a difficult, sad time. It would have been his 1st birthday on Sunday. We are going to have some close friends over and have "angel" food cake to remember our little Allen Michael. Both Allen & I have been doing okay lately. During the first trimester of this pregnancy we were both really sad and had heavy, grieving hearts. It was confusing because we felt like we should be so excited about being pregnant again, and we were, but we were also missing Allen Michael. I don't know how Sunday will be but I do know that I have amazing friends that will be there to support us & be with us no matter how we are doing. Such blessings! As I write, the little one in my tummy is kicking away. Again, blessings, blessings, blessings! Allen & I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary last week. We stayed in the same suite we had on our wedding night. Allen sent me a replica of my wedding bouquet & brought us a mini-replica of our wedding cake for desert. Even though we didn't leave Duluth it felt like a vacation. We went to Bellisio's, a fancy Italian restaurant that neither of us had eaten at before, for dinner. We swam at the hotel and got a movie in our room. The next day he let me indulge him with a pedicure at my salon - he was a bit nervous about this but I told him it was just a foot massage so he went along with it. He really enjoyed it! What a great day! What a great hubby!!!! I love you, Allen Matthew Lepien!

| I am officially a mom. I have had numerous things in my house for well over a year that would lead someone to believe I was a mom - a crib, baby swing, diapers, etc. But today after work comes the coup de grace - we are buying a minivan! Ohmigosh! So funny to even type that. It's a really cute minivan. A Toyota Sienna, champaign color, but still, it's a minivan!!!!!!! It also makes me feel like a grown up because it is the first car that we are buying and not just inheriting from our parents. So it's pretty fun. Everything is going well with the preggerness. Already half way through week 15! The nausea has passed and I am able to stay up a little later than 9pm. We heard the heartbeat at the last appointment. It was a nerve-racking appointment for me because the last time we tried to hear Allen Michael's heartbeat it wasn't found. It took a minute (and felt like forever) to find this little one's beat (which is normal this early in pregnancy) and I couldn't look at my doctor or Allen until it was found but then we heard it - the sweetest sound. It was 159 beats a minute. We get to have another ultrasound at our November appointment. I am hoping to get a 4-D ultrasound - they are so neat. It is going to be a crazy week. My aunt & uncle are coming to the house on Thursday to redo our bathroom. I cannot wait. So this weekend we have to find and buy a vanity, sink, facuet, medicine cabinet & lights. I am not one for home improvement projects so I am so glad that they have offered to do this for us. I cannot be around for most of it because of the pregnancy so I will just get to come home to a finished product by the end of the weekend. | | |
| So it has been over two weeks since I last posted. I cannot believe how fast the weeks go by. It has been busy. Two weekends ago we went to the cities with NJ, Jori, Aaron & Sandra. We stayed at the Benney's house and had so much fun. Saturday we got up early and had breakfast with Molly & Josh Oberheide!!! They were in MN visiting from Texas. Molly and I are 4th generation friends, and have been friends since we were little girls playing Barbies in Shalom House! I love her!! Then we went to the State Fair and met up with our friends Jen & Jason Weimer. It was a great day at the Fair!! I will have to post some photos when Allen uploads them. Last weekend Allen worked & I was feeling sick. So I mostly slept - but that is bliss when you are pregnant. And now it is already Friday and we are heading into another busy weekend. Tonight we are going to our friend Leslie's wedding. It's going to be fun. Almost all of our closest friends will be there. And they are going to have a live band rather than a DJ. Then tomorrow night we are going out for my Annie's 29th birthday. Plus Allen works again this weekend BOO! Hopefully I will be able to get at least one nap in. I am posting a photo of me & the girls from work at our bowling night last night. We had fun!
